What is a robot? Joseph Engelberger an American physicist, engineer and entrepreneur said: I can’t define a robot, but I know one when I see one. Similarly to such concepts as intelligence or life, the concept of a robot is not easily and unique to defined. On the other way, already in the 15th century, Leonardo da Vinci designed the first machines that today we would call robots.
During the lecture we classified robots, present the main components of a robot, say how to
estimate the distance and direction from the previous position of the robot and how to control, i.e. why robots can behave intelligently in many situations.
